Grundoram

The Grundoram pneumatic rammer is used to drive metal casings into various types of soil. It is particularly effective where a new pipeline has to be laid under a road. Grundoram often proves to be the only option, as open excavation across railways and major trunk roads is usually not possible.

Once the casing is in place, the soil inside it, together with any stones, is flushed out of the metal pipe and the required water or sewer pipe is installed. The metal casing remains in place, also protecting the pipeline under the road against the risk of settlement caused by surface loads.

Terrat’s Grundoram unit can drive casings up to 700 mm in diameter and up to 60 m long.
