Renovation of sewerage, water and gas pipes with PEH pipes is one of the possible ways in renewing pipelines by using a “no-dig” method. The pipe being renovated with PEH pipe is watertight, able to withstand loads and corrosion-resistant. The low flow resistance of plastic pipes compensates for a smaller diameter, and the self-cleaning ability of pipes improves due to a higher flow speed.

Cracking or pipe cracking is used if the old pipeline is severely deformed or if the interior measure of the old pipe proves to small for the new pipe designed. A hydraulic expander used a bursting head a shatters the old pipe and enlarges the path for the new pipe.

The pipe burst method is used for renovating water, sewerage and gas pipelines. In many respects the method is similar to the cracking method and is used if the old pipeline is severely deformed or if the interior measure of the old pipe proves to small for the new pipe designed. An expander pulled by static force shatters the old pipe and enlarges the path for the new pipe.

The Inpipe “liner” is a system designed for renovating gravity-flow sewerage pipelines It combines the best features of other renovating options.

Flexoren is a fast and economical method for renovating sewerage pipelines. Via manholes, a flexible, welded pipe is pulled into the old pipe. Digging needs to be undertaken for service pipes with no manholes only. No traffic disruption. Brief street closures. A sewerage pipeline renovated using the Flexoren method is as good as new – watertight, able to withstand loads and corrosion-resistant. The low flow resistance of PEH pipes compensates for a smaller diameter, and the self-cleaning ability of pipes improves due to a higher flow speed.

MaxiLine is a renovation method using short modules. Modules with length 50 cm are thrown into the old pipe using a specially designed hydraulic tool. Works can be carried out through manholes, the equipment thus requiring little room. Moulded sleeves on modules have a specially designed lock system that ensures that the watertightness and integrity of the pipeline.

When pipelines are renovated, it makes sense to also renovate manholes to render the entire system waterproof. Old concrete manholes may be made watertight in two ways.

The Grundoram pneumatic ramming tool is used for ramming a metal casing through a wide variety of soil types. The equipment is particularly effective in instances where a new pipeline needs to be laid under a road. Often, using Grundoram may prove the only option, since digging open railways and major highways is mostly not possible.

Grundodrill meetodit kasutatakse veetorustike, survekanalisatsiooni, gaasi- ja sidetorustike ehitamiseks ja renoveerimiseks.
