Pipeline renovation

The majority of the pipelines are reaching their retirement age. This means that many existing water and sewage lines are already so old, that they need replacement. Clogging, leakages and breakdowns create inconvenience for people, and have a hazardous impact on the environment. Estonia is also faced with this global problem.

The expenses related to repairing old pipelines are constantly growing year by year. Till today the most common solution has been the removal of old pipelines, and their replacement with new ones. This is undoubtedly the most widespread method, however alternative methods - i.e. no-dig methods are also available.

AS Terrat has been working with these methods for over then years. We started with the use of the cracking and Flexoren methods in 1994. Today we have mastered the INPIPE, Grundo-crack,  Grundoburst,  Grundodrill and  MaxiLine methods. All these methods have their specific function in the renovation system.

Our task is to find, together with the client and the designer, the best solution among the methods we offer. Because of the superb pipeline flushing technique, and the TV inspection equipment purchased by AS Terrat the popularity of the "no-dig" method has increased considerably in Estonia.. Experience accumulated from all over the world witnesses to the advantages of closed methods in comparison with traditional digging methods.
