Past
Terrat AS is a construction company, which was launched on January 1st 1992, based on Estonian capital, and mostly specializing in environmental constructions. The company was based on the bases of the land improvement department of the former Tallinn EPT. Long experience in construction and reconstruction of water utilisation systems and networks outside Tallinn (canals, artificial lakes, hydraulic constructions) and highly educated staff provided an excellent foundation for the establishment of a new organisation. Two large-scale projects – the construction of the sewage water treatment station in Tallinn and the construction of the golf course in Niitvälja – gave the powerful push, required for further development of the company.
Present
Terrat AS has developed and launched an integrated quality, environmental technology and occupational health and safety systems, which meets the quality requirements, laid down in ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards, in the company. The respective systems have been acknowledged and approved by certification companies Det Norske Veritas and Bureau Veritas Certification, having issued Terrat AS· the respective quality certificates.
The management system, subject to consistent maintenance and improvement, shall ensure high quality of construction works, conducted by Terrat AS, and shall serve as a guarantee of our competitiveness and reliability.
We have implemented a number of construction projects all over Estonia, but also in Latvia, Finland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Russia.
In average, Terrat AS employs 60 people. Consistent development has resulted in a scope, which covers the following fields:
- designing and construction of water supply and sewerage systems:
- water supply networks with standpipes (fire valves), hydro schemes and water measuring wells
- gravity municipal sewage pipelines, septic tanks
- pressure sewage pipelines, sewage and pressure boost pumping stations, flow settling tanks and wells
- storm water sewage pipelines, fat and sand traps, grated manholes
- drainage pipes
- culverts
- renovation of water supply and sewage systems with no-dig method:
- inpipe (renovation of pipelines with a liner)
- flexoren (insertion of new pipe into existing pipelines)
- sliplining (insertion of new pipelines into existing pipelines)
- cracking (upsizing pipelines)
- pipe burst (insertion of new pipes into old pipes after demolishing and expanding the old pipe)
- maxiline (no-dig relining system)
- ramming (trenchless installation of metal pipes by ramming)
- directional drilling (construction of pipelines by drilling)
- construction of hydraulic and environmental constructions (pumping stations, sewage water treatment stations, water reservoirs)
- landscaping and park construction
